hey all, I have a chance at this little lady for $140... would you? Why / why not? Just on the fence and looking for opinions.
Thanks @Paddy54 I took some time off collecting, but I couldn’t stay gone long! Hope all is well brother!
I'm doing fine for an old man...no longer at Dietz.....I am now working for a gourmet food company. At present I'm in RI. On business this week then home on Friday for a week back up in New England the following week. So I've been to busy to misbehave ....I did miss the Annapolis show today must of been missed as by 11am was getting text messages as to where was I.
Bronoholic..I know you... the Dietz reference gave you away. We've chatted a few times at Annapolis. I had a couple of bad shows there, so I've stayed away. I'll try again soon, I'm sure.
I would say buy immediately and don't hesitate. Nice coin. I no longer hesitate buying coins I need or want and sometimes don't need but the obsessive gene takes over. You can't lose on that one. Most coins before 1920 got some type of old cleaning and books even mentioned how to clean coins back then. Keep collecting and learning. No one is ever too old.
I really Like your coin. I have the 1833. It doesn't quite have the nice look of yours, but I still like it. I'm not a real big collector because my wife and I are retired state employees. I do like to look, so please keep posting. Any advice on a good inexpensive camera so I can post some of mine that concerns me. Thanks, guys.
Okay, decided to take all of your recommendations and pulled the trigger. Ended up with a better than expected price of $120. So here she is out of the 2x2:
