His description is deceptive as is his "die clash" statements. Those are obviously die cracks. If he's such an expert in errors then one must assume he knew he was being misleading. Bruce
I couldn't help myself. "THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE FIND FOR THIS DATE Maybe if it was a die clash but it's a die crack. Not uncommon at all. Worth about a nickel." I hope we become friends!
Mag, got your list...we'll meet up Sunday. I'm working all day but I'll bring your coins with me and maybe we'll meet for lunch in Tempe or something.
Apparently "many" of you have been sending emails? I got this today. This item was sent back to you today for a full refund. The tracking number through USPS is ---- . We have received many harassing emails today from who we beleive to be your friends. Each email has been reported to ebay and will be investigated by trust and safety. We strongly suggest you follow the rules and regulations of ebay and tell your friends to do the same. This has been considered a very serious offense and can result in termination of accounts if proven. Please follow the paypal recommended couse of action and follow through with a full refund when requested by paypal. Its very unfortunate that this has happened. But you brought this on yourself by entering a spoof listing. We will reserve leaving feedback until you have followed paypals recommendation. Please write us back letting us know that you will stop all of this unprofessional action. The only thing at this time is the feeling that you are only making matters worse for yourself by creating more issues heh... oye.
Man, stuff like this makes me sick. He wants to talk about deceiving auctions? That die crack one is pretty deceiving IMO. Even though it would be sweet for you to try to fight him magman, and win, it's just not worth it. Like Jack said, clear out your account, and check to make sure you weren't cherry-picked. Then, if all is well and good, refund him his money. And hope for a positive. Sorry to hear about this man, not mine, and it has me annoyed, lol. Best of luck to you man, and atleast some ebay sellers here know who to block from bidding. Phoenix
Magman he can assume all he wants. He can even prove it if he comes here. Yes, I sent him an email and it's posted here. So what does that prove? I had an opinion about an obviously misrepresented coin and had the gall to tell him about it? He can threaten and block me. BIG DEAL. Like I'd bid on his crap? So he's gonna get a bunch of people tossed off ebay? Yeah, dude needs to wake up. Someone emailing you with a General Question and stating a fact is NOT against the rules. Neither is being an idiot unfortunately. I WILL be blocking him as a bidder and I suggest anyone else here does the same. He's trying to manipulate the system to his own sorry advantage. You see, he's got a problem now. People are on to him and that can really hurt. The fact that he thinks a lot of people sent emails because of this says a lot now doesn't it? Rat's in the corner and feebly trying to fight back. I WILL be blocking this moron and I WILL respond to him in due time. Maybe tonight. He's feeling pressure and has NO idea just how much there is. clembo
I told him "harassing" was probably an over exaggeration, unless he can give me an example. what did he write to you? (if anything?)
Where at in PA is this guy at ? I have a little time off of work and I'm looking for some fun. Maybe I can make those "harassing" e-mails look pretty tame. We need to form an organized Coin Mob Network. Then we could provide a little "insurance" for one another.
My bad I meant to include it. Here ya go. "Everyone has an opinion. And recently All I have developed is a great blocking list for those who have no life other then to criticize. Thanks for the addition, The Coinoisseur of Coins" I've already replied to him. Short, sweet and an opinion. He can cry about it and report it all he wants. "Why waste your time dude? Like I was going to bid? I merely made an observation that's all. Die cracks are fairly common in coins from the 50s. Die clashes are not so why sell one for $30? Get it slabbed by an ebay approved TPG and you could get a lot more. I honestly believe this coin to be a die crack. I see ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS of a clash. Sorry an honest opinion hurts you so much but I'll get over it. Have a wonderful day! " Hot air bag Magman. Sorry it turned out as it did for you but if he has a sliver of grey matter he might start to use it in the future.
Now, you don't think I'd walk into a shop and go..... "Sure is a nice place you got here. Nice stuff. It'd be a shame if something were to happen to it." *knocks loupe and supplies on floor* "Whoops, see, bad things happen" "I can make sure those things don't happen" "I'll tell you what I need" "C'mere !!"
Exactly. I figured you'd get that. "Some nice tanks here you have General" "Be a shame if something happened to them"
nice thing you sent, heh. Yeah i know, of all the people that bid and saw it, this is the guy that won... sheesh. oh well, in my email to him I said that had he could have saved us a lot of trouble if he had been nice in the first email, and gave an exmple of what that would be like. I also said to him that its dangerous to have other people bidding for you, for you are the best person to judge. (or something like that, lol) I also sent an Email to the Ebay people, about the fact that he has multiple people under one account. edit: guy emailed me back, said I was still wrong. lol, no surprises there.
I think you did all you could do. You can't argue with a brick wall. It just goes to show that you can't argue with an idiot. They are always right no matter what.
