[even picked up a 1894 s in mint condition it just has 4 extra letters on the back (copy) fits the space untill i become a millionare [/quote] I was wondering if anyone else put copies in their books to fill the holes of the super rare, super expensive, key dates like I do. I just hate holes!!!!
I don't, but I'm aware people do that. I've no problem with it as long people don't try to scam others that way. Sort of like putting an 1895-O or 1895-S Morgan in the hole for the 1895. Most people would check that out closely considering the value of an 1895.
this was for my selfish desire to complete a set . you have a near proof copy to enjoy and having a limited fixed income and trying to rase 2 families i know that i will never have one. i also added a 1909 s vdb and a 1912 s liberty nickel no more wholes in the folder . the only trouble is those 4 little letters (copy ) that bring you back to reality. wvrick
