Looking through a Mint Roll of 2004 D Keel Boat Jeff's I found 5 with identical die scratch from the eyebrow to the last T in trust. One is below. They are all 5 the same.
Perhaps. There are 5 of them identical. I am not very good at figuring which they are. Do you think die crack is more likely?
Looks raised to me, but then again, so would a die scratch.......out of my element to make an definitive assessment, but others will do so..........
A scratch would be raised with rather uniform depth/height and edges. A crack with show the rough edges left by the crack.
The scratch seems to be only in the field. Is it possible that the die was scratched before the hub impression was made?
