Its virtual money/items/land or something along those lines. For people that play W,O,W.( WORLD OF WARCRAFT) Its a online video game. There's 9 milllion plus people playing it. People buy and sell stuff to other player's on ebay and in game. Its a very commen thing. In fact theres a few people that have made MILLIONS in real money doing it. lol I dont play that game my self. its not my thing.

He is doing the same thing ticket scalpers have done to skirt the law. Ticket scalpers, for example. will offer you a pair of $100 tickets ($200 total face value) for say a World Series game for $1,200 but they will be VERY clear that the price includes $1,000 for the nifty ticket holder and lanyard ($5 value). They claim they are NOT charging more than face value for the tickets.

This guy wants to sell something that apparantly cannot be sold on eBay. So he claims he is selling a 2007 US cent and will throw in the other thing for free. Wink, wink. Nod, nod.

I used to play that game. Its really addicting. I sold my account on ebay as a nickel, and got 800 for it.

So, codydude815 is it a scam or a legit item being sold. Is it against the ebay rules or not? Is it legally sold anywhere else, online or not.
What is it you actually sold? Knowledge to a certain level on the WOW game?

    Enlighten us Oh young warlord.

Doesn't seem much shadier than shipping coins as "Collectable bronze tokens".

It's not really a scam but a cyberspace identity. Those players are so hooked on that game that they are more than willing to pay good money for things related to WOW. My son played it from when it first started and built up a character over the years that was very powerful and everyone wanted to become one (or so I was told). When he got married and his wife put an end to his playing he sold the identity for $600 and the buyer was more than happy.

It's the account that people spend literally weeks of thier lives leveling up. I had like 18 days of total playtime when i realized it sucked my life away. I really don't reccomend the game to anyone because of how addicting it is. The reason you have to sell it like that, is because blizzard (the game company who made WoW) prohibits account sharing/selling. The auctions will get pulled for copyright infringement if you just sell the account.

INDEED. I play some games online now and then from one of my sons collection of video games. But I can't see spending that kind of money or time into a video game. To each there own.

I used to play SOCOM online.
    There is no subscription fee.
You bought the game and the network adapter, you get to play online for free.

There must have been something funny about it. Ebay has removed the auction.
