I agree with your XF 45 assumption too. Not all of them? But, there seems to be something really conservative (grading wise) about the light blue PCGS generation?

Garlicus Debt is dumb, cash is king.

I have this newly acquired piece up in the Error section, to try and get some idea what is going on, and how this happened. Anyone have any thoughts? Everything is as it appears. Nothing hokey that I can tell.
(Sorry for the multiple post on this coin, but it sure appears to be an oddity, so looking to get more eyes on it, for opinions, not to wear out my welcome or offend)

I wasn't looking for anything but I bid on this and won. It's an AU 58, my favorite grade, just looked nice to me.
What's really amazing is that if I had this coin raw and sent it in to be graded and True Viewed it would have cost me a lot more than I paid for it

Snagged two off eBay today. Both of my "Make Offers" worked.

Seller said "original" box. It isn't. Original box was an Easel type for display purposes per Charles Keck the designer and Medallic Art Co. manufacturer.

Found this 1964 quarter in my drawer Saturday. Had a gold tint to it, not sure if it is toning or something else.

I really wish I could capture the color of this peace dollar. Don't see to many of them nicely toned. Picked up the Indian Head at the Jacksonville show this past weekend. Screenshot_20190604-100833.png Screenshot_20190604-100826.png Screenshot_20190604-100851.png

I've been busy imaging most my PCGS graded Ikes for My Showcase during the past 3 months, so this Morgan is a nice, refreshing change of scenery. @dwhiz (your favorite grade - :D)

This is the second 5 oz. ATB I've ever ordered. The first one I sold for a profit.
I just happen to like it. Plus just like D Day I'm 75 also. D Day was 10 days after I was born.

    Today I got 2 half dollars, a 1976 and I thought a 40% 1965, but looking closer I realized it was a 1964.

    IMG_20190606_204828.jpg

Then later I found a 1957 nickel that looks like a proof but has no mint mark. Mirror like finish, looks brand new

That's good because in 57 proofs were minted in Philadelphia and so do not carry a mm. Not until 1968 did proof making start in SF.
