My understanding from all that I have read is you can only get them in change or at a bank, in rolls of course.

I’m very jealous of everyone who has the opportunity to hunt for these in the US. Good luck!

For $5k I'd go to the mint and buy some rolls/bags, etc or just keep getting change from their gift shop.

Yeah, that’s my alma mater too. I hope a few here find them!

The first coins have already been discovered, but they are still going for decent bucks right now. I’ve seen offers as high as 150 on a coin that showed up last week on a dealer board. Though it seems that the ask is somewhere between 35-50 each now. There will be two million of each produced for a total of ten million. These will only be available through normal circulation distribution and will not be offered with any other mint products. I generally don’t like when the mint makes “rarities”, but this should be great fun and hats off to the mint for joining the Great American Coin Hunt. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Coin Hunt, check it out, I believe we have over two million pieces going back into circulation now. Roll hunters are going to be very surprised with what they are finding in the next couple of months.

Is it safe to assume that, if you're lucky enough to find one in a bank box, it will be mixed in with a roll of entirely 2019 quarters (of the non-W variety)?

Quarters pass through the hands of so many people who don't look at them... we'll be finding these for years to come.

    Question:
How long does it take for the West Point W Quarters to be placed into the rolls that are then available at a bank?

The next Quarter release will be on June 3rd - the War in the Pacific National Historical Park.

Will the rolls with the W quarters be issued on the same date?

And will the rolls with the W quarters already be at the banks IN rolls on June 3rd?

If not, how long does it take from the date the mint releases them to the time they show up in rolls at busy banks in major cities around the country?

I think it takes a bit for them to get from the mint to the rolling companies. Then you gotta factor in the time it takes for the rolling companies to go through their stock and then deliver those coins out to businesses and get them actually into circulation. It took me just shy of 2mos before I got mine.

2 months from the date of issue? Wow! That's a long time!

Are you in a major metro city or in a rural area?

Mezak claimed there would be about 250,000 of them for the Lowell in his show on HSN Saturday night. He had some for sale, MS-64 ANACS, but I already forget the asking price.

My wife got a 2019 cent in change yesterday. We're just starting to see the 2018 coins here in the hinterland.

I have yet to see a 2019P dime here. I've found cent, nickel, and quarters though.

This is not how I understand it, but I pay little attention to such things. The best answer is, anything is possible/

I used to look at my change right away after making a cash purchase. I received dirty looks many times from cashier's.
