Hello, here my first two U.S coins What do you think?I had to save my pocket money for a long time before I could afford it . I know the dime is cleaned, but I think it's still a nice coin !
Who cares if either of them have been cleaned. Those two are very nice coins. If I was at home I would try to attribute that 1809 half for you. Very nice coins!
I see no evidence of a cleaning on the dime -- dipped for sure, but nothing more sinister/problematic. The half is pretty nice too. I'd say your first two coins are well above average...Mike
Man, nice coins!!! That half is wow, and the dime is nice too. Not bad, not bad at all. :thumb: Phoenix
Okay - looks like O-115a r3, I think I see a die crack thorugh the 0 in the date into the curls. I also think the reverse matches the description for the o-115a. I also see a clash mark above the right wing.
I see Mark got his DBH fill for the day! :mouth: Poor dude was at work and had to wait all day to get home to crack the books to see which variety it was. What would you call that? DBH DT's? :mouth: I'm going to have to get a camera so I can post the couple of DBH's I have, but I'll make sure and post them when Mark's at work. Ribbit :smile
nice first coins!! My firsts coins were a 1864 Indian Head Cent, a 1943 Steelie, and a AU War Nickel... lol
Yep - but also do it around my vacations and travel. And they are CBH's, but I do have a few DBH's. How about the coin DT's. It makes me nervous just to read the board while at work - no telling when big brother with block the site.
Lol, I live in America and I dont even have coins that are that old in that great condition. Congrats man!
hey guys thank you,I'm also very happy about the coins. thanks for the denomination ,mark, especially because I find it interesting how you do group these coins in type classes as they don't have a mintmark or so :smile. can you please tell how to find out the mint, were there several mints in the U.S at this time?? daniel
At this time there are several mints in the US. P for Philadelphia, D for Denver, S for San Fransisco, and for the current American Silver Eagles, theres the W for West Point.
