So why did they get the boot? A lot of reporting. Toad, I did not send them an email BTW but just may have to this time. clembo
They didn't get booted, just one of their coins has disappeared. They may have pulled it since it wasn't getting bids? It just so happened to be the one I put on watch so I could go peek and see what the others were doing and when it disappeared out of my watched items, I figured they got the boot but they didn't. This auction has past the $100 mark already... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170206735126&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=007
Look at the Q&A: Q: spanish for sure...could you give approx weight and size please? A: 21.7 g and 1.5" That set it off! That looks more like a "plant" question this time, especially since we have no idea who asked it this time. However, the weight doesn't "feel" right. Hammered coins are lighter, aren't they? Ribbit Ps: These cons are good!
That coin is so obviously a counterfeit. The only peeps I can see would bid on it, would be peeps who slab their own coins and will slab it as genuine and sell it for more, to an unsuspecting collector. So sad! Ribbit :smile
A sucker is someone who blunders in convinced he has discovered a "great deal" even though he really doesn't have a lot of knowledge about what he is getting. Someone who is gambling, has a pretty good idea of what he is getting into and they realize that the odds against him are high. In short a gambler knows he is probably wrong but he might just get lucky, while a sucker is convinced he is right and there is no way he won't make out well. (And then either won't believe it or gets angry and blames others when his legs get cut out from under him.)
