When it went to PCI, it had a pinkish look. All the years in the holder have really helped the look of the coin and the images are from 5 years ago. It's probably about time to crack it out and see what PCGS has to say.
I had a 36 proof cent in an old PCI cleaned holder. It darkened over time and is now in a PCGS 63RB holder.
I too have had coins improve over time to the point where they could be graded. The factor that really kills you is cleaning hairlines. Those never go away
Yeah thought rim was proof like. I really did. Don't really understand yor question. It would grade proof or am i missing something
Can you show closeups of your markers. Cuz i have a 1909 that i think is a proof. But marker at or about nose area is slightly different. But has the liberty to coat marker
"Staight grade" means it gets a grade from the TPG without a qualifier. A coin that fails will have a note on the slab label that says, "Proof," with some sort of a problem like cleaning or environmental damage.
Ohhhhhh. Ok. So the blotches on the reverse could hold it back then. Am i getting it. ? To grade straight means it's a proof proof
