They got it right. It's not a doubled die. It's not worth sending in again.

Ok.. quick question..So is that mechanical doubling? I personally see all the broken sariffs, and the spread.. If you look up close to the pics you can see the hub doubling. Its kind of difficult to see because of the cameo on the coin.. I think.. ...

The 1969-S DD is very rare and easily noticeable with the naked eye.
Notice the lettering on the coin. LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST

You have it in hand. I can't see the doubling from the images. It needs to show doubling like the coin just posted to have any value.

I'm not seeing any doubling (mechanical or otherwise).
Granted your pics aren't the best but where SPECIFICALLY are you seeing doubling (i.e. on the 9 in 1969) ?

Lipstick on a pig ...is still a pig!
Jj you really need to research ddo's and ddr's and understand what you're looking at...this hobby requires research and reading. If those two items don't interest you ...you're in the wrong hobby.
Coin collecting isn't just filling holes in a album...there are many layers in collecting.
I say this not to discourage you but to enlighten you before you feel disappointed and give up.
However : you have come to the right forum to learn ....there is tons of knowlege here, and some very well educated minds here to help you.

That holder looks years old, all scratched up, your not showing the reverse, and saying its cameo proof, the lighting is casting shadows. I don't see any doubled. there is a lot of holes in this story. the TPG says its not a doubled die, Its not a doubled die.

Doesn't matter how many pictures you take. It is not and never will be a 69S DDO.
