Nice coins, nice strikes, its just my curiosity, what is unique enough to pay for the grading, is it rare to find that quality in mint sets? just asking

I think the OP is gambling that both coins will grade at least MS69, but I would be reluctant to give either coin that grade without examining it in hand. It is too easy for the photos to hide even the smallest flaw that could reduce the grade.

Agreed, what spurs my curiosity is there is nothing unusual even at a 69, the 2000 is a common close am, im reluctant to think heritage or any would even take time to showcase any of these, but that's why I asked, Perhaps im not seeing what is unique.

They might be nice looking and better looking in hand but I think it's a waste of money to certify them. Add to that the problems associated with resale even through a major auction house.

I don't know about PCGS, but NGC has graded just 43 of the 1995 as MS68RD with none higher. For the 2000D, NGC has graded 24 in MS68RD and 3 in MS69RD. What I dislike most about the Zincoln's is how they can deteriorate so easily. As a collector, I would be loathe to pay a high price for any of these coins.

I think a lot of the low numbers graded, are because there is a high risk of loosing money if you plan to sell them and the grade does not meet your expectations, most wont send in coins that billions were produced. if for example he gets one 69 it may pay for the grading, but I look forward to knowing the result.

The only time that a modern coin like this will sell for high prices is when there are none available for the people who build Registry Sets, and the ones that do sell for top dollar go to the Registry owners who have deep pockets with a big ego to remain #1.
