Opened a roll of quarters and this beat to hell Rhode Island quarter popped out. I realize there is a great deal of damage on it, but it also appears that there is additional ugliness on it.

    Or do I need newer glasses? C0B5F406-9B01-499D-B34A-28986A9162DF.jpeg FA79A184-C664-4958-9F35-78BD172B42A2.jpeg EBEE0B4B-7B4A-4DBC-84EB-5345721F2A62.jpeg

Such terrible PMD. Amazing that the bank still think it is ok to circulate and put it back in rolls...

I recognized the PMD but the space in the center of the coin looks even more off kilter than the obvious damage shows. Specifically the sides of the bridge don’t seem to line up nor the sailboat.

In addition to the one large gash, which looks like some form of cutting/rolling across it; you can see various hits and gashes, and "cutting digs" (such as under the 2nd L in DOLLAR) along the rim.

Using that same type of "hit damage" you can see various other various places in the sails, the bridges and the water.

This was just one unlucky and heavily damaged quarter.
all the places in yellow looks like major damaged areas to me
