Do you use the reference sites that have been provided? If you use them you will find it is much easier to identify your finds. I don't see any of the pickups for verified DDO's. If you don't have them save these to your favorites. http://varietyvista.com/index.htm http://doubleddie.com/1801.html I don't use coppercoins too much but it is another one.
Also , may I suggest that with your photos , you use the top and last photos sizing ( which can be enlarged by clicking) as they have the most definitive lighting whereas the middle enlarged ones have some distortion and light reflections which make it hard to separate lighting reflections from doubled metal itself. I also agree it is not a DD. Jim
You’ve been given those sites a countless number of times and consistently say the same thing, thanks, I’ll check them out. You really should use them and bookmark them.
Well u guys tell me your opinion about the coin u guys say it's not DD or whatever so the link is doing me no good and I respect your guys opinion
So you are using the kind people on here that generously give their time to teach you and you have no intention of ever teaching yourself or contributing back to the community. That’s no way to go through life.
Hey all I wanted to know if it was DDO or not I gave u guys close ups you guys said it wasnt DDO I do my homework if I didnt I wouldn't even bother posting it on here
I may of did my homework but I'm a rookie at this its always nice to get your guys opinion to see if I did my homework right
Shouldn't one do his own homework so that he isn't just being fed an answer? We can only feed you for so long before you get booted to do your own homework and learn for yourself. Please use your time wisely.
Doing your homework would be looking up the known doubling for the date and mint mark and then asking "hey guys, I think this matches all the markers for Wexler's (W) pf DDO-001, do you agree?" But then you would see that this is only on Proof coins and not business strikes and so you wouldn't post any question regarding the coin above because you would have done the research...
