$100 ....I'll update standings after this round. Edit: This was the Toned Rouble I used to own. I haven't seen a ton of nicely toned Russian coins, so they can draw a nice premium when offered. I will note that auctions aren't always the best way to sell toned foreign coins as less people might be looking compared to toned US. https://www.instagram.com/p/BsrkUailhLT/

Not to derail the contest, but, going back to pretty SLQs, I really, really wanted this one for my type set a while back, but didn't have the cash to spare at the moment. Apologies in advance for the not so great photos/lighting and being too lazy to cut out the coin.
Sadly, no. I did, however, manage to console myself with another wildly toned MS65 FH 1917 T1. It may make an appearance here if I get another chance or the floor opens up, so I won't discuss what I paid for it just yet.
When I was collecting toned geM SLQ’s I found that toning rarely drove a significant premium. The 1917 T1 in MS66FH is worth over $1K without toning, and I wouldn’t expect to pay more than a few hundred for attractive toning like that coin has. Do you remember what the seller’s price was for that coin?
I do, but I wonder if it might not be more interesting to have people guess first. I don't want to derail the thread though... @EyeAppealingCoins, @ddddd, are we going ahead with another coin? If not, I can just leave this one up.
I like guessing more than posting new examples to be honest (I'm afraid I'll forget to update the thread). Go for it!
@Paul M. it looks like we'll go with the 1917 that you posted (which is perfectly cool with me). I'm guessing the price might have been on the higher end... $2,000
