What does the reverse look like?

To my absolute surprise, as I don't honestly remember looking at the reverse of this coin, it is almost entirely covered by DDR. I didn't realize this and am totally surprised. I can't tell what year it is though.

Can you take a picture of the reverse?

My guess is that it is actually MD on the reverse. It looks like a 1982, imho.

Yes, I can take a photo, but it may take me a moment though. You see, I'm not very good at this computer or phone image. But I will try; give me a few moments.

With the mushyness on the right side and the clear "LIBERTY" on the other, I thought that maybe it was struck through a partial die cap like mine here:

    Just a thought though.

The Op's coin has a sharp / well defined edge line, Has to be Struck Through Debris.
@furryfrog02 coin shows an undefined line due to metal covering the edge of the die.

I didn't get the opportunity to post the photo I said I would. I was pulled away with an urgent matter. I will post it, however, in a day or so. Excuse the delay and thanks for sharing the photo of your coin. Having a closer look at the reverse of my coin, I'm not at all certain as to whether or not my coin experienced mechanical or DDR. I'm afraid I'm not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be. It's why we ask questions however. Good Luck!
