I've had this POCKET CHANGE folder for awhile.
As I recall I did get it from @lordmarcovan.
All it needed was the 3 more dimes. I finally remembered to get them.

Oh, cool! I remember that little folder. I got it as a freebie gift from someone else I got some coins from. I forget who. @H8_modern, maybe?

Looks much better, now that you've properly filled it with Mercs!

PS- doesn't the cover have a picture of a Mercury dime, thus dating the folder to pre-1945?

That's a great song. She could sing. I have a couple of her songs on my thumb drive to listen to in my car.

Before my time, but I know an immortal classic when I hear one.

I first heard it on the Rain Man movie soundtrack in 1989, so for me it has associations of my salad days.

Pretty cool. These were made in a lot of fun designs. The banks would give them away if you opened a savings account. I saved a few just for fun.

I got a couple from my elderly neighbors when I was a child. Not full of silver dimes...but still really cool to a small kid. Man, that couple was the best. Charlie and Alice.

If it’s a Richmond, VA bank it was probably me.

Just noticed the full pic and yes I sent that.

40 years ago I grew up on a street that had an elderly couple that were the best too...Tony and Rose. They had no children but took care of every kid on the block like they were their own. I can still remember Tony paying me in silver dollars to mow his lawn or clean his gutters. Tony passed about 10
Years ago but Rose still lives there and I visit whenever I can get there to see her...she’s gonna be 99 this summer:).

Charlie and Alice also had no kids. They were like an extra pair of grandparents to me. Watched after me when I was sick. She made amazing chicken noodle soup. I remember sitting in their little living room and they would watch the Lawrence Welk show.

Hahahaha. I remember not enjoying it except the "pop" sound at the end of the theme song. That's the only thing I remember.

I visit every time I go back home to visit my family. I was blessed to be able to live most of my life 2 doors down from them...I would make her a margarita at 5:30 every evening when she could still get around outside on her driveway towards the back of the house. We would just sit and talk, mostly about Tony.
I have since moved out of state but you better believe I will go see her every time I’m there...she’s usually the first stop.
