Came across this in a jewelry store last week for less than melt.

Cool. I think @cpm9ball has one as well that he likes to show off every now and then :)

The operative word is "had"! That is because I sold it once it became eligible for inclusion in the NGC Census. You see, it was originally attributed by NGC as a Mint Error in 2005, and as such, was not listed in the Census. It wasn't until it was added to the Cherrypickers Guide in 2012 making it the "Top Pop" NGC PF70UCAM which enabled me to resubmit it to NGC for the designation and inclusion in their Census.

I ultimately sold it for $1K to a collector in California who had been searching for it and it's unknown owner (being me) for all those years simply because being a Mint Error made it impossible to trace it's ownership.

    @Nick57

Great find, Nick! Do you think it will grade a 70?

I'm not sure about ms 70. Don't think it will make ultra cameo though.

I cannot find any record of an example sold in a public auction.

On second thought, @Nick57 , if it were me, I'd submit it whether it graded PF70 or not. I don't know how many, if any, have been submitted to PCGS, but NGC has only graded 3-4. There have only been about one dozen of these reported over the last 14 years, so you'd still have a rare find.

    PF70, not MS70!

I doubt that you will find any auction records. One owner reported having ten sets from the Mint that he gave out as Xmas gifts to family. I had two sets, but the second set was for a friend who ultimately sold it for $750 in the OGP. Of course, my coin was sold to an anonymous collector through his agent.

The point is, these are the only 12 that were ever reported. I can't tell from your photo, but these days, UCAM isn't that hard to find.

Not a 70 but get it graded.

I just checked the NGC Census, and they have only graded three. All three were UCAM.

I paid 17.14 each for 7 sets. Which I cherry picked the die dent before my offer of 120 for the group.

After he was paid, he was bragging he only paid face for the group... I smiled and said I'm happy too.

Make sure whoever you send it to -

Note on the actual submission flip
that it's a Die Dent Rev. on Bison,
so they can easily focus on the right
area, and also write "Reverse Up"
on the flip, so the reverse side is placed
on the front side of the holder.

Did you sell it on E-Bay ? Did you start your offer at $ 1,000.00 ?

If you're referring to my Top Pop, I didn't put it up for auction. A buyer's agent contacted me and offered the $1K for it.
