1968 dime error

    I have a unusually 1968 dime. Can anyone tell me anything about this?

    Sorry, but it was subject to high heat after it left the mint. That's what caused the distortion on both sides and is causing the clad to split. If it was a true split planchet, it wouldn't have the distortion. Not a mint error

    Those are heat blisters caused by extreme heat after it left the Mint. It is only worth ten cents and is damaged. Not a Mint error by any means.

    At least you're willing to admit your mistakes. That shows your desire to learn. We've all made mistakes here on CT. Yes me too. :)
