ohiocoins Hi CT members - any experience with this seller? I'm interested in some of his coins but he doesn't take paypal. Opinions? Thanks!
I haven't bought anything from him because he doesn't take PayPal but I've had my concerns about this seller because of the quantity of PCGS certified coins he sells. While browsing his store to reply better to your question, I ran across this: http://cgi.ebay.com/1958-D-Franklin-Half-Dollar-PCGS-MS64-FBL_W0QQitemZ190209562968QQihZ009QQcategoryZ11973QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Looking at the reverse, I see several scratches and there isn't anything about this coin that leads me to believe it qualifies for a MS-64FBL and with the quantity of old slab PCGS coins he has really makes me question their authenticity, especially since he doesn't take PayPal, which limits the buyer's ability to get a refund. I'd say if you can get the item cheap, go for it but otherwise, I'd run! Ribbit :smile
I turned him into PCGS. Haven't heard back from them yet but the person I contact usually contacts me in the evening, so she probably isn't at work yet but I should hear from her tonight. The last time I turned someone in (the 1796 DBD) the auction was closed within a few hours, his account closed, and emails to him were never answered. :mouth: Ribbit :smile
When I contacted PCGS about the 1796 DBD she ended up being my contact person and I hooked her up with all data I had (emails/pictures) and since I broke the ice with that situation and it is almost impossible to get a "person" at PCGS, I added her to my address book for future correspondence. But I bet she's one of those girls that only kiss frogs, so I'll have to keep it professional!
