Bubbles in a 1921 10 Pfennig

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I collect coins, but sporadically. Since I buy my stuff at flea markets and garage sales, I'm reluctant to try buying more expensive coins, because I'm afraid they're fake...

I found this coin in a big box of foreign coins. The eagle side has an unusual roughness to its design as well. Is it an error coin?

Zinc is a very reactive metal. It is very susceptible to corrosion like what is seen on the eagle side of the coin. I am not 100% sure but the bubbled look on the other side is also a result of corrosion probably internally and it is what plagues Copper coated zLincolns A gassy planchet.

It's not an error this is all damage.

In 1916, a new issue of the 10 pfennig coin made its debut. Unlike the previous issues, it was composed of zinc-plated iron and weighed 3.6 grams type 2.

I think it is defacement of the die so it could not be used again, but I guess someone did.
