Hi Everyone I’m new to this and came across this coin. It’s a 2000 Maryland State quarter. I’m wondering if these are true errors. I’d appreciate any input. Thanks
First, welcome to the neighborhood, @Heidi S ! What do you mean by "these"? You'll have to be more specific. What do you see? Chris
You didn't say what you see as the errors, but if you're talking about the two 'lines' in two of the photos, those are scratches. If that's not what you're talking about, please tell us what we are looking at, or looking for.....
You need to learn more about the minting process. Otherwise, you are going to waste a lot of time looking at circulation damage. I've provided a link to a series of articles about the United States Mint in Philadelphia which explains how dies and coins are made. I would suggest that you save them to your favorites for future reference. http://www.coinnews.net/2013/09/13/how-the-philadelphia-mint-makes-hubs-and-dies-to-produce-coins/ Chris
