I tried to enlarge your picture to compare but it get blurry. I can't really see it. Which DDO are you looking at to compare? Reference #?
Coneca: 9-O-I Crawford: CDDO-009 Wexler: WDDO-009 Coppercoins: 1972P-1DO-009 I actually used Lincoln resource,i believe it was ddo 9 or somethin Heres a better shot of the one i found
The pennies i got from the bank friday are all 60-89 and have a nice deep red patina on most of them. I found 2 more DDs in the same roll as this 72 that i will post later. One is a 69d that really looks amazing and hasnt been listed,im trying to confirm it
I'm not seeing the notch like the example. It looks like the 2 took a hit. PMD IMHO. Better photos would help.
!. Yes better photos would help. 2. It got hit (s), unfortunately right in the only real doubled area on such a coin, But, it would be far odds that hit (s) would ( by appearance) cause the upper area to be pushed up and look like a #9 DDO, and then a second hit ding the end vertically. I would not send in for attribution as the condition and damage value would not be worth the service ( better to buy an example for grading money), but I feel that it well could have been . Worth keeping for a while IMO, Jim
Yeah, I wouldn't toss that one away yet. Are you close enough to a major coin show to make a visit? Steve
