LWC just out of coin folder

    1957 reverse LWC.jpg 1957 LWC edge.jpg 1957 LWC another view.jpg 1957 obverse LWC.jpg Any suggestions how this occurred? Just took this 1957 Lincoln cent out of a coin folder

    Something straight ( edge of paper strip or similar to make the darker part,, or a plastic strip ( some of the folders had sliding plastic strips) pushed up and no longer protecting the cent. Not an error or mint caused problem, but a storage one.

    Do you know the history or assemble the set? often people put a coin in to fill a space and it may have received the pattern in a change drawer , or who knows. IMO, Jim

    mabie partial coin roll, with a thick rubber band to secure?

    The coin folder itself can do that. At least it's an inexpensive coin to replace.
