h, i have recently found this coin while metal detecting, for what i can see the roman emperor is facing towards the left, if anyone could help me identify what roman coin it is it would be very much appreciated regards
It will be tough to near impossible to ID. I seem to be able to make out that the bust is helmeted and it looks like it has an imperial mantle, which makes me think of CONSTANTINOPOLIS coins
VRBS ROMA coins also have a similar bust, lacking the spear over shoulder and non laureate helmet; but I am partial to Constantinopolis coins, so I always think of them first. Both types were initially struck to commemorate the foundation of Constantinople in A.D. 330.
it looks like it could be the first pictured coin you posted in the reply, were these coins only minted in 330 ad?
they were minted for about 10 years. I have a page about these coins-- http://www.constantinethegreatcoins.com/comm/
