    AV Half Guinea 1725 London Mint
    George I King of Great Britain/ Elector of Brunswick-Lunenburg/ Hannover.

    When Queen Anne died in 1714, he was invited to take over as King of Great Britain, since he was Protestant. Roman Catholics where not allowed to sit on the British throne.
