Thanks guys! I’m super psyched. I also got to sit down with Roger Durand, who I found out is a member of my Coin Club. How cool is that!!??

All of these are exceptional bills... I love this. A couple of weeks ago I went to the bank for some "pocket money" and pulled this one out. Some dork did not know what they were looking at and wrote on it. Still in fine shape... no folds.

Sir Guardian, be thankful the "dork" didn't write COUNTERFEIT on it; as was related by a forum member who received a BLANK REVERSE note from his bank and the teller wrote COUNTERFEIT on the reverse. Grrrrr.

OMGoodnes!!... Choke the B!!!... sorry, alternate ego coming out there (lol) I'm looking at a lot of Civil War era stuff (just because I like it) but have an eye out for other things.

I have one I need help with... I'm really new to the paper world. This one caught my eye. I'm familiar with DDO/DDR for coins but I have never seen this one. I found this because the total bill was one color but one corner (1/4") was bleach white. This is all one one bill.

Could be something there, Guardian. Why not post a complete face and complete reverse image and let's see what other comments are posted.

Seriously, two weeks with no new post in this thread? How am I to catch up? I'll need a time machine at this point... speaking of a blast from the past, today's new pickup is this toned two dollar note from Michigan, the Bank of Constantine. I hope they weren't charged by the design element because they put all sorts on this note. The archer at left is seen on the Republic of Texas $20 and other notes of the era. Alot of edge chipping but I like the cashier signature especially and hey it's a note sharing a name of a Roman emperor and a comic book and it's underrated Keanu Reeves film adaptation...

Upon request... I'm posting this full Obverse/Reverse of this bill for closer examination. This is the best I could do with my phone. My microscope shows greater detal. The entire bill feels like there is additional sealer/weather proofing or whatever they call it. Also, there are brown areas which I think is from extreme pressure. I am no expert but you all are. check it out.

Today's new pickup is this well traveled 1862 single legal tender note. Small punchout there but it missed the portrait and the seals and green overprint are in good shape considering the substantial circulation. This is a wallet rotational piece and it is quite popular... for being 160 years old... can't say the same for Salmon Portland. Not alot of kids getting named Salmon Portland these days...
