Check this out! A roll of Walkers, Franklins and Kennedy’s...ALL 90%!

Just kidding...picked them up at a LCS today. My box of halves was a skunk today with another 6 NIFC’s the lone finds. Just wanted to see how it felt to post some silver here on this thread. I’ll just keep looking at everyone else’s finds since apparently Austin has zero silver left in the bank boxes:( 1A071FD8-DB87-44AD-9D4A-EBDC9905FF20.jpeg

Picked up a "Fed" box today. Going to use all the CWR I have and keep the white wrapped rolls. At least 13 of them so far.
Got a few very nice copper and one very clean wheat.

Solid penny hunt today, the wheats skewed early. Here are the 4 oldest.
Top: 1927 and 1937, both Philly
    Bottom: 1923-D and 1923 Philly.

How many boxes do you do a week? And how on earth do you get them to keep ordering them? Getting one a week is like pulling teeth here where I live. They act like you’re asking for the coins for free!

Picked up a box of quarters today to try for a "W". No luck but I did at least get some silver. I asked for halves like always and one of the guys who has worked there for years is now working as a manager. I was cut off from that branch probably 2-3 years ago. Well now that he is the manger, he said he would be more than happy to order me some halves. I should have 4 boxes to pick up on Thursday.

Finished up the week with 7 more boxes 4 skunks, the other three boxes yielded me 7 pieces of silver 1-64, 3-67, 3-68's, then I stopped by another bank drive through and they had 4-40%ers, 2-67 and 2-69. One of my best weeks in a long time with 76 pieces of silver. Wishing you all the best, Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Not many shield pennies in my CWR box. But lots of shiny 2009 back to 92. Messes up the way I usually make up a roll.
10 to do tomorrow and by Wednesday I imagine she'll want a box.

I’m in the motherland (Russia) right now with the wife’s family for her birthday and our 4th wedding anniversary...but the day before I left I had the find of a lifetime...well, my lifetime for sure! I was just so busy packing at the last minute that I didn’t have time to post this. I know a lot of ppl on this thread will be skeptical at first, because honestly, I still don’t believe it happened myself. I’ve been having moments here in Russia where I momentarily daze off and try to revisit that feeling when I popped open the first roll in my car in the parking lot of that bank last week. So here’s the story...

I was visiting a friend I’ve made from a local coin show that owns a precious metal refinery and gives me great deals on silver coins he gets in from others. I bought some awesome coins from him for great prices, and started my long ride home. He lives about 35 miles from my house, and there are a myriad of banks on my return trip home. I wanted some more action, and it was still before banks closed (this was Saturday), so I stopped at 3 or 4 on the way home, including a credit union I’m a member of. At the third stop, the teller told me she didn’t have any older bills, but did have $100 of CRW halves. I didn’t like the “exact” number of $100, and even told her I’d bet it’s a CRH/collector like myself doing a partial box dump, but I did have three rolls of my own to cash in, so I unwillingly exchanged them for 3 of the 10 rolls she had (wrapped in the exact same paper, too).
I thanks the teller and walked to my car and started it up. I even had my seatbelt on and put the car in gear, but for some reason decided to pop the end of one of the rolls before pulling out of the spot....and saw the reverse end of a Walking Liberty staring back at me. Immediately, I put the car in park, shut it off, threw the roll on the seat without checking the rest of the coins, and ran back into the bank to get the other 7 rolls. I told the teller I was very excited by what I saw in one of the rolls and had changed my mind.
When she brought me the rest, I turned the end of the roll her way and said, “Look at this.” Of course, it was another Walker. She was shocked, and told me those rolls had been in the vault for weeks already. I thought this might’ve been a VERY generous collector donating for the national coin hunt, but the timeline didn’t add up. I left the bank promising I’d take care of the teller as soon as I got back into the country; even got her name and the days she works. I called my wife and gushed about what just happened, and promised to hold off on opening any of the rolls until I got home. I didn’t check one of the rolls until I was halfway home, but couldn’t resist....and it was solid 90%, all Walkers and Franklins.
So many of you probably won’t believe this story, but hey, it happened. I have no reason to lie. Those of you who read my posts probably know I’m legitimate. Here are the pictures and results:

Im not sure as to why someone dumped EXACTLY $100 worth of their (or their relatives’) silver half dollar collection, but the teller assured me there were no other rolls of halves (or any other coin for that matter) that were deposited. The final count:
133 Walkers, including a 1916 and a couple of 1917’s and 1918’s. Nothing super rare or valuable but a few in nice conditions ranging from VF-AU
    67 Franklins, unfortunately no 1948’s, 1949’s, 1955’s, but 3 or 4 BUs
That’s right, 200 90% silvers, no class. Not so much as even a Kennedy. When I get back into the States, I’m going to try to get more info on this unbelievable dump. I’m starting to believe that story the other guy posted from last October, but I think his collection recovery was twice as large.

Absolutely Nuts - you stumbled upon the equivalent of a "dream box." I believe I know the refiner you're talking about, I bought coins from him too under similar circumstances. Are they in Long Island?

Can you recall the adrenaline rush you got when you opened the first ender? And the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc? Did the rush continue to escalate with each roll? I'm guessing I'll never experience a find like this, but it is the dream every one of us CRH's has. Congrats, epic find!
