    Paddy you cannot see the edge im referring to .Im talking on the round part. So not obverse or reverse but the i guess side of the coin

    The coin is damaged.

    You're focusing on the wrong question. Never think a coin is an error because you can't explain how it was damaged. The minting process is well understood and documented. You need to come up with a plausible explanation of how this could have occurred during the minting or die making process.

    Many of the responses you got are from people who have extensive knowledge of the minting process. They have also looked at multitudes of coins over decades of collecting. Your coin did not leave the mint looking like that. It's not some sort of "triple strike die clash" (whatever that is). It's just damage.

    I dont know what to call it. So my friend came up with the name lol. And im learning. As well as not calling anyone out for incorrectness what so ever. Especially not the folks that are well versed on this subject .I didnt post this to point fingers or to tell anyone they are wrong .I posted it because i dont know .
