Just picked this up for $20 at the swap meet this morning. Capital "My Birth Year" holder for 1942. The are easily opened and this one had a picture of a blond hair young man circa 1950 I would say. The half and quarter are likely AU and maybe wiped and have a few hairlines but maybe not...cent nickel and dime have promise even with a scratch on liberty's cheek. I popped the lens open and straighten ed the coins to take the pictures and will post individual shots in other post your....threads, soon. I hope this brings back good memories for some folks. Found these over the last 2 days, 4 silver dimes (1957,61,63 and 64) in bank rolls and a 1943 P war nickel from a customer

@NickJersey Where did you grow up that you were able to watch Saturn V's launch?

Little piece of space trivia, what do Israeli's do differently with their rocket launches than any other country in the world?

I lived about 25 miles south of the cape, and would watch them from my front yard. With binoculars you could clearly see the rocket, without you could make out the shape and of course the flames and contrail. When it was about 30 degrees above the horizon the ground would start to shake and you could hear the roar of the engines.

1852 Large Cent, got with ebay bucks, along with a very detailed yet corroded 1837. Hard to find them without too much gunk or weird color. Any way to treat corrosion on these LCs?

Nothing crazy but did manage to buy $30 face in half’s and a few dimes (not pictured) at 10.5x. I’m liking these prices. Did have to call around quite a bit to even find some to buy. Their either sold out or holding it back. 43205886-D8E8-4F36-8E69-19424EC6AE88.jpeg

Picked this one up raw from the local coin shop today. It most likely would not straight grade because of the scratch on the cheek and neck on the obverse (dealer was up-front about that). I just couldn't resist the look of this coin, and if not for that scratch it would have cost me many multiples of what I paid to own it.

@jackrabb1t is the face a little reflective as well?

It looks a lot like a coin I have that was over dipped. I could be wrong.

It's not reflective. The obverse is a little more dull compared to the reverse. Nice satiny cartwheel luster in the fields, especially on the reverse.
