Here’s a Phillip I with an obvious (after being brought to my attention by Sallent) Gordian III face. 46040799-0746-4154-8886-9D5B5BADBE3F.jpeg

I just recently sold this, but I still have the photo: Tetricus II as his predecessor, Jar Jar Binks.

Yeah, I remember my excitement when I first saw this coin. I don't personally need another Phillip I, but if I ever see one of these hybrid Gordian III/Phillip I at an auction, I'm definitely bidding.

The Historia Augusta is pretty unambiguous about Marius' short reign - it offers additional commentary on how he only ruled for one full day, and likened him to a purported consul during the Republican era whose reign of only a few hours was so tyrannical that few dared to eat, and none dared sleep.

I'd echo that he probably ruled for at least a month, as he had new dies cut, and controlled at least two mints. But this coin (which I sold a few months ago) supports a very short reign, as it shows Victorinus as Postumus!

And who would pass up a chance to show off a Marius?

I need to image my Gordian III looking like Balbinus, but I do have a nice early Aurelian where he looks almost identical to Claudius II

I love these, and that's a very nice example. Here are a few more:

And here's Aurelian looking like a Quintillus/Claudius combo at Rome:

Quintillus always has curly hair, so he can't be confused with his brother.

Yes, it might be better to call my Aurelian a straight Claudius bust... but I thought there was some Quintillus in the jawline. (Though it seems Rome often did that sort of thing with Claudius too...)

This Gallienus I own has always struck me as looking more like Claudius Gothicus, I know that the lineage makes this impossible but..... remove the neck beard..
