Garlicus Debt is dumb, cash is king.

Does the D on this coin look acceptable? Seems a little off, but could be the result of PMD.

I’d be interested in seeing the date. How about complete obverse and reverse please

    It went for $285

Strange looking L under the D as well. Definitely would have liked to have seen it in person.

Since the 1921 and 1921D are both key dates, I don't think you would risk adding a D to a 1921.

Agreed. Strange goings-on around the mm though.
Looks like a very reputable seller, just an odd looking coin.

At first glance the D seems fine to me, and I still think it is. But then after reading some posts and looking at the blowup, I don't know what that stain is under the MM. It's true the 21-D is slightly more desirable than the 21, but the 21 by itself is still pretty hot and not worth the risk to mess with it. (IMO)

Looks ok to me. As @Michael K said no reason to work that area. A date tooling might be more likely but this one seems right

Weinman’s initials looked a little odd too. The right side of the W looks a little too wide (larger gap). That could be PMD too, though.
Again, wish I was able to see it in hand.
Eh, I’m sure that everything is fine and the buyer got a good deal.

Any coin that costs over $150 I won't touch unless it's slabbed by PCGS or NGC.
