Metal Detecting - AG Pendant & Wheat Cent

    Paddyman, were those all beach finds? I live on a claim that is from 1864 and have metal detected the area but have only found metal fittings from wagons and horse teams. Back in that time, miners would bury their valuables under their fire pits to safe guard them and I've found three fire pits on my claim, but nothing of value.

    This and some partial horse/mule shoes, a gold panning pan, a frying pan and miscellaneous nails, screws and pieces of metal to far gone to tell what they were.

    I forgot to mention my normal local park.. Down on my knees digging plugs finds!

    Looks like someone's been chipping away at that green glass.
    Could take that to a gem/mineral show when someone has an
    XRF Analyzer for Mineral Exploration

    Yes, but only valuable to me as a historic find. I'm hoping for large gold nuggets. LOL

    It's been to a few jewlers @rte and there is a local history in glass manufacturing. Dang it :(
