This penny stands out.

Meow was just going over some pennies CRH and saw this penny that stood out from the rest. The color is the color of old copper BU Pennies, yet is a zinc issue. It does weigh a bit more than the others too, but just by a bit.

It is within weight tolerance. Normal toning.

Maybe it got a double coating of copper. Hence the added weight.

 

I don't think so. The Zinc core is probably a bit thicker than normal, just slightly.

 

That is a good lookin coin tho. Good eye.

Give it a year and it will look like the other zlincolns. Very nice looking and within the weight tolerances.

 

1. No, Meow likes to buy rolls of State and ATB quarters on Fleabay. Meow has also bought examples of classic coins. Meow has a graded Morgan, Peace, War Nickel, Buffalo, and Walking Liberty, That are very nice examples that exceed the grade of the holders Meow thinks.

2. Yes, Meow does use Kitten Mittens.

 

The best penny Meow ever found CRH was a 1960 D/D in BU R/RB.
