I have several good pics but I am challenged with this site. No mint mark.

    So, this is novelty only?

No, machine doubling is flat and shelf like. It is very common and provides no extra value. Not a novelty.

The difference in the doubling to the lower right of the 2 and 8 makes me think doubled die more than MD.
I would look to see if any DD is known. What is the mint of issue? Any doubling anywhere else?

There is doubling on the date, engraver mark, in God We Trust, R&Y of liberty. In a variety guide, there was one mention of a 1928 Phily DDO.

This is as far as I can magnify the 2. If this is machine doubling, then it's basically worth the $6 mercy dime.
