So I found a coin that has no border and its thinner than a dime. Was thinking it may be an acid penny soaked for too long but you can still make out certain things on the coin and its thinner.

    Any ideas?

    Hi:)
    Welcome to ct!
Imho, it’s damage beyond recognition. I’m not sure what happened to it. I don’t believe it left the mint in that condition.
    Possible dryer coin.

It doesn't have the characteristics of a dryer coin. It's either chemical corrosion or environmental wear. I have found Cents like that metal detecting rocky beaches. The pounding on the rocks wears the images away after several years.

Unfortunately my camera isn't the greatest but you can physically make out certain features on the coin ... I'm still trying to figure out if it was an acid penny why is it thinner than the dime ... I have two pictures of the thickness compared to a dime and another wheat penny

It looks similar to coins that have spent some time soaking in an acidic solution. The acid etches away the surface relatively evenly, but the high points get mushy and blurry over time. You’d be surprised what “creative” students can do to a coin in a chem lab with access to chemicals and furnaces ;)

Sorry, but it's not an error

No need to do anything.. It is simply a corroded Cent.
