G-4 for both seems reasonable to me. Other than color, which may be due to lighting, what are you seeing?
I don't collect US coins, and I don't study the US coin grading guides, I do see a tiny bit of less detail on the obverse of the ebay one. A lot of the difference appears to be lighting issues.
The balance scales on the grading logo are about the same so the lighting cannot be a huge issue. I see stars on obverse back of the head a little less distinct on ebay one. And the general appearance less on ebay one.
Those are different label generations, but they both should have the visible yellow emblem on the left. It's washed out completely on the etsy one--I don't see the yellow at all.
Here is a random label I had on my desktop. The first is the under exposed quickie shot before doing some coin photos. The second is one I tweaked exposure on. The third I tweaked exposure even higher and decreased the saturation. I overdid the desaturation on the last one, but you can see how the yellow design element faded out.
And for fun I cropped a screenshot from ebay, cranked the brightness/decreased saturation a tad using PicMonkey. The etsy coin is much smaller so I didn't bother. But the prongs on the ebay coin now have that 'brightyness' factor the etsy coin has on its prongs vs. the ebay one. That said, the etsy one still has a bit more detail in the laurels, but I don't think the grades are too different. Plus grading at NGC seems to be less about eye appeal and more about the technicalities, so may coins across the eye appeal and toning spectrum can carry the same grade. At least, that's how it seems to work on the world coin side.
I have seen worse disparity in grading from the same TPG's so I always say buy the coin and not the holder. Learn to grade is an important statement. I have and seen better stricter graded SEGS coins and ICG coins and even some PCI coins than the Big three TPG's. And yes I have seen worse from everyone. Again buy the coin, not the holder. I would spend the $96 instead of the $85. The One coin has an L part of an I and part of a T and Y. The other has what looks like and L and part of a Y. Grading is subjective and nobody is perfect.
While the EBay coin could be AG-03, I think G-04 is correct. And I agree with the G 06 on the (I hate Etsy) coin.
I think the Etsy coin correctly graded and the eBay coin is ag. The lack of rims especially the reverse call it ag for me
A few years ago, I did a study of the grading of large cents and half cents by NGC and PCGS as compared to the grades by EAC standards as given to the same coins in Heritage and Goldberg auction catalogs. There wasn't much difference between the two TPGs. Both were very close at low grades (up to Good) and very high grades (above 63). The grading by both of them was all over the place for coins with EAC grades of VG-EF. In a number of cases there was a 25 point variance. In other words, a coin graded EF by either of the TPGs may be an EF or it may be a nice Fine. To me, the project proved that neither of the TPGs is capable of grading early copper accurately or consistently. I speculate that the reason for this is that their graders don't understand coins struck on a screw press. Another likely explanation is the rarity of the early copper coins. They don't see enough of the coins to get good at grading them. It wouldn't surprise me if the same was true of their grading of early silver and gold. So, buy the coin not the slab, unless you're putting together a registry set, in which case the opposite is true.
