Looks overpriced to me. It Grey Sheets at $825 (Ask) in MS-60. That coin is not MS-60.

It looks over priced to me. I would say it grades XF.

I agree, Lou. Grey Sheet in XF is $300 (Ask).

Check out who the seller is. I don't know how he gets so many people to overpay for his coins.

I wouldn't be buying that coin raw unless it was a really low grade one that I could get cheap.
For the past few months I've been kindof watching for a nice AU 1932-D quarter but I tell you what---I'm not sure I want to pay the going price! I'm trying to work on a set of AU/BU Washington Quarters and I think that one is going to break me! Oh well...maybe I'll find a good one yet!

This will be a prime example of the "greater fool theory". I see 29 bids so far and a bunch of days yet to go- venture to say many of these idiot bidders have to be "newbies" that refuse to research anything prior to bidding and maybe have too much money to throw away. Some "lucky bidder" will get an XF45 with hairline cleaning on obv for many times the going price.

Hobo, it's sad that this happens way to often on EBay. But that's the way it is. Sellers praying on novice collectors. It's a shame it runs so many new collector out of the hobby after they realize they have been ripped off by these sellers.

The sellers isn't doing anything but letting the coin ride. He doesn't have a reserve on it. It's like trnbz5oqz said - It's the bidders jacking up the price.

    Not worth it to me.
For a coin like that, no slab...no bid.

    Mine's a ANACS EF-45/Scratched (not cleaned.)
I knew ANACS slabbed cleaned coins (DETAILS), but I didn't know ANACS made notations like "Scratched".
It's a up for replacement, but low on the priority list.

Sure makes me real proud of mine! I just had to pull them out and look at them.

I've bought from this seller before and IMO he often fuzzes the photos a bit and the grade it actually is is one to 3 grades below his suggested grade. He likes to fuzz up the dates quite often.
But I have bought coins that were close to what was pictured and I bid accordingly.

It looks like a pretty nice quarter. I have no idea on if it's a good price though, other than what's been said on it already. :D

From looking at the bidding pattern it's either newbies or shill bidding.

Speedy, I, too, am working on a set of Washington quarters. My original plan was to go AU for all. The prices on some made me rethink. I have 2 silvers to go. I compromised on fine for the 1932-D and VF for the 1932-S. Overall the set goes from EF to MS. It is a really pretty set, and I am so pleased with it. I am now working on a set of all the clads, all in MS-63 or better. It is amazing that they look so well.

I bit the bullet and got the 32's almost first.

BUT only $3.95 shipping charge. So you can see why so many bidders.
Sure wonder how high that will go. I wonder if that is one of the many scams now going on where people have people do biddings to jack up the prices. If one of them should actually win, it just gets re entered some other day. Could be. Of course with millions and millions of people out t there, someone is sure to want that coin enough to pay anything.
Sure makes me happy I've been collecting so long. Back when I was a kid those were common.

29 bids but only 8 bidders and once it got above $150 only 2 bidders. One of which is placing max bids in large steps and the other is then doing multiple bids in small steps forcing the current hid bid up towards _***r max bid.

(This is a good example of the case for snipe bidding instead of just putting in your max bid. If it were to close now with no more bids _***r wins it for $710. If he had put his max bid in as a snipe, the high bid would currently be sitting at $140 to m***6. When _***r's snipe bid was placed he would have the bid at $155. Even if 6***9 got their fist step bid of $200 in _***r would still win it at $$210. $500 less than he is currently committed to pay. Terrible for the seller but great for the buyer.)
