I have a little question. Would 1988A 20's be worth anything. The bank I go to has two different sets of 20's totaling 750$. There are two different batches of sequential runs.....I was looking in a book I have, but its older. Can anyone give me some idea. Oh yeah and they are ALMOST uncirculated. Thanks for any replies
If they are in sequence, then they are most likely worth a premium IMO, if they are CU, then definetly! :thumb: Phoenix
I just found some on ebay. There are 5 ($100) selling for 140 with 18 hours left. I think I will go get them on monday after all.
nice find! do you intend of selling all of them, or holding them as part of a collection? Im only asking ut of curiosity, i cant afford to buy any whether you sell them to a collector, or keep them, at least they found their way into a nice home!
I think im going to keep some at least one of the blocks. I might sell the other block. The only problem is do you sell them all together or have individual auctions for each???? Problem is still have to get the 750 to get them.
In high condition, especially if you a bunch in sequential order, think you could expect anywhere from 1.5 to 2 times face on eBay; a lot of currency collectors would love those. If you have batches in sequence they'd be more desirable to some people. Even if you break them up I'd at least leave them in sequences of at least 5, maybe 10, you'd get more of a premium that way. Old $20's will get harder and harder to find as more get circualted and eventually destroyed and fewer ones will be saved, especially in higher condition.
