Anyone want to take a shot at grading this Washington quarter?
    It's in a NGC slab.

Well I think from what I can see it is MS....but the dark toning, and the large fingerprint right in the middle really kill the eye appeal. Unless you just really like the coin, or only paid a few bucks, I would see about a return.

    Anything above MS-63 would be.......

I bought it 10 years ago on a Teletrade auction, I think a return is out of the question. LOL

    Ouch,
Here is my view on the coin----when the coin was slabbed chances are pretty high that neither the toning nor the fingerprint where there. Since that time things have happened, and the fingerprint has come into view. If I were you I would send it back to NGC for their review. I believe that if they agree and lower the grade they will also send you a check for the differents in value. I don't know what an MS66 sells for these days, nor do I know what an MS61/2 would sell for, but you would get fair market value.

I have quite a few Washington Quarters graded MS66, and trust me...this one isn't.

Looking at it, is that fingerprint and all on the slab, or coin? I can't really tell, but I would probably do what Speedy said. :thumb:
