Found this during a search. Is this a cracked die? Let me know what you think.

    Thanks!

Yes, it is a Cracked Die! I am just guessing but from experience, I am thinking that the coin is a 1983-P as they are known for a Die Crack from the roof of the Memorial Building to the rim and another one from the lower right corner of the Memorial Building to the rim. Am I right or not?

This is a great post and a great coin. You can have fun collecting on any budget...and find a collection for face value even. Coin collecting does not have to be the hobby of kings, as they say, but a hobby of interest and knowledge.

Right on, great eye too !!!!

Remember, die cracks, gouges and chips will be RAISED on the coin surface...and scratch or damage to the coin will be opposite...thats an easy way to tell die damage from after mint damage
