Right on Car10...the day I find one, I will jump up and down and do somersaults...have been watching for them for over 20 years now, lol
1984 DDO #1, double die........look at the ear lobe worth quite a premium in any grade, and a whole lot in uncirc red gem, prone to spotting, nice ones can get outright expensive !!
It has a doubled ear. It almost looks like he has two ear lobes. It's worth about 1000x more than a regular 1984 Lincoln of the same grade. Some people really like collected error coins. Myself... they are cool but I don't look for them hard enough. I do have a clipped planchet, from what I see it looks genuine, but I cant post any pics because I let a friend use my camera, still waiting to get it back... I'd like to post the pic to see what all you guys think about it.
These are some BU 1950's Lincoln cents I recently acquired from a CT member who can stand the dry heat. Great doing business there. Bruce
My scans didn't come out a good as these lactually look. But here's the last reverse. I should learn to take better pictures. Bruce
Since collecting, I've found that I have a particular fondness for unique toning specimens. Here's a favorite from a recent search. Pictures don't do it justice. Lincoln looks three dimensional.
the last 2 were absloutley beautiful.. Id kill to have a lincoln like that.. my friends are going to edmonton where teh coin shop is and asked if i wanted to tag along. Id love to go to teh shop, but i have to save for florida... its killing me
