Not to be a dork or nothing, but you know these are all harshly scrubbed clean right? Nice dates for sure but OUCH !!!!!

You never cease to amaze me, I looked at those coins and thought to myself, that those were nice coins...

In no way did I mean to offend or put down the coins, but was stating an opinion. If I did offend, I am sorry. If my opinion is wrong, by all means show me how?

Don't be humble stainless.....we can only collect what the wallet allows, so any coin that is special to you is what counts....

Just use these threads to make goals for yourself and to learn from, but never be made to feel like your collection is not as good as someones elses...

Your collection rocks.....because it is " yours "

Okay - I finally got off my duff and took some pictures of a few of my lincolns. My favorite is the last. I have a several others, but went for a variety. Enjoy.

I think he meant he's always learning new things...could be wrong but I don't think he was offended.

Actually, they are not - these are just really really bad pictures in the gawd-aweful lighting & setup I have available. In reality the 09 is very nice looking other that the spots, and the other two are quite dark with just a bit of luster remaining. They don't look much like the pics, this was my first attempt at photographing coins - desk lamp, pocket digital camera in one hand and magnifying glass in the other for zoom lens lol

I like these, no one said anything about key or semi key dates, So I think these will do just fine!

Well, my apologies are in order then. I am sure you will practise and learn by trial and error just like everybody else. I am relieved to know they are not damaged coins and lok forward to some really nice shots !!

    Thanks for understanding

WOW, while looking thru some BU rolls tonight, I found this one....take a look at the reverse....a struck thru a wire of some sort. I have had this siting here all this time and never even noticed it untill tonight !!

Right on Snaz...good to know you can still find old Lincolns up there in the Great White North !!!

Hey Jack, that ones cool. I wonder where the wire came from. But it deff looks like its set into the coin where it wont fall out. I like it and you deff dont see that very often.

The 35-D is cool, yeah, it is minted over a wire or staple or something, in hand, it is much more obvious the O in One is struck over the wire.

Phoenix....XF? nahhhhh, but nice. How far are you from a full set now? Cool !!

Congrats...you've probably found a " BIE" cent. Very common in the 50's, BIE cents are caused by die breaks in the Liberty area...most of the time, between the B and the E. Make sure it is not damage tho, hard to tell from pic....

There are folks dedicated to these. They are fun to spot and collect, and MOST do not carry any premium. They are great to cherrypick at shows if your a serious collector !!
