Is that the same "coin" ? Obv says One Ounce, but the reverse says 81 grams......hmmmmm, post a pic next to a known size comparator also, like another Lincoln maybe
Very strange - it pretty clearly says "81.1 GRAMS", which would equal 2.6+ troy ounces! How do you know it is small? Does the EBay listing show something to compare? A one-ounce silver round should approximate an ASE in size.
Given that a troy ounce is 31.1 grams, I would guess that's what it says on the reverse, or at least what it means to say. Perhaps a worn die has muddled this.
Is this the coin you are talking about? http://cgi.ebay.com/1992-LINCOLN-HE...ryZ39489QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It should read 31.1 grams, not 8L1. See attached photo for a similar depiction, that's more clearly printed.
Well the guy does have 3100 feedback at 100percent. I dont think he would sell fake stuff and run the risk of ruining his feedback
The ebay link someone posted is not it. The 2nd picture posted isn't it either. The "8" just may very well be a "3", but i really don't know.
http://cgi.ebay.com/1974-Lincoln-Pe...ryZ39489QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I believe this is the correct auction. Even as cheap as it is, I wouldn't waste a buck on it with such contradicting measurements. Probably not even the same coin in each picture. GUy~
I'd bet it's just an error on the coin. Hell, it states ONE TROY ounce twice. A troy ounce is 31.1. The eight should be a three. Simple as that. A bullion error coin
Think "closed 3" As in 1873 closed 3. They had to change the font of the 3 because it looked like an 8
Looks like a bad picture combined with a poor font for the 3. By the time the auction closes, silver will be 3 dollars an ounce and it will be overpriced
