Very nice coins. Very good thread. I don't own any cap bust halves, but I might have to get one.

    Three - 'No Motto' 1839 -1866, 'With Motto' 1866 - 1891, 'With Arrows' 1853 - 1855.

I misread the question when I gave my first answer. The question I answered was:

"How many holes does the Dansco 7070 have for Seated Liberty Dollars."

Two - 'No Motto' and 'With Motto'.

Thanks Hobo, I hadn't noticed the question to me. I apologize for that.

That's why I prefer to use my own definition of "typeset".
To me 2 (or 3) Seated Liberties halves don't cover all of the major varieties.

    Here's what I see:
    SL No Motto/No Drapery 1839
    SL No Motto/Drapery 1839 to 1866
    SL Arrows/Rays 1853
    SL Arrows/No Rays 1854 and 1855
    SL Motto 1866 to 1891
    SL Arrows 1873 and 1874
