Coin roll hunting 20$ pennies and 20$ nickels from local supermarket bank, where people turn in rolls all the time. Found my first war nickel and a few interesting pennies. First a 1993 Philly with a die chip or struck through object over the date. Here's the 2006 doubled ear LMC. The 2006 looks to be the least exciting of the doubled ears, but it was visible with the naked eye and it's the first I've found (seen), so I'm a happy dude! Was finding some nice 2018 Ds in the bunch, and noticed they've got a thing going on with Liberty. This is the best example (of nothing?) I've found without cracking new rolls. That's the news
The 93 is a plating blister. I really can't see the doubled ear but if I remember it correctly it is wide spread and looks like a die chip. The liberty is ddd and some md. I have seen this look a few times
I agree.. 1993 Is a Plating Blister 2018.. LIBERTY is just Die Deterioration I'm not to sure about the ear but I'm not into minor Doubled Die varieties anyway.
Thanks for the eye, fellas! The 2006 looks exactly like the variety photos wherever they're found; just a little nub of lobe below the original. As I said, least exciting of the doubled ears, yet exciting nonetheless to find something on the books.
