1923 “Whisker Jaw” Peace Dollar

Stopped by to see my buddy. Never been a variety sort of guy. But I had never heard of this one and I was sorta drawn to her.

I’ve never seen a Peace Dollar I didn’t like Randy!

I’m not a VAM guy either, but that “whisker” is higher than I’m used to seeing. This is typical for me. . .

 

Wonder if that may be a progression of the die crack? I have seen the dollar you posted.

 

I guess they came up with that "moniker" because "Scarface" had already been taken for a Morgan dollar.
