It looks like it might be damage, but the lighting and the position of your camera make it difficult to tell. Try placing the light sources at 10 & 2 o'clock at a 45 degree angle to the subject and your camera directly above the anomaly. Then crop out all of the unnecessary background and resize the image before you post it here. Chris
