You know what, not even worth it to legitimize this nonsense. If you guys want to try and mislead people for your own gain because of value buys or whatever that's on you.
I think my title says it all, PCGS rant, rave or WTH? I posted the link before I read the whole thing on craigslist but my intent was never to be part of bringing down PCGS
Simply to share it, for conversation that's it. Never did I ever think somebody on here was so passionate about PCGS that it would create a problem. I live and I learn.
Nope. Mods won’t ever ask me to join them. I’m someone who wants to see more chat about coins and less bickering.
Not a single person has suggested it to be true, merely that there’s a possibility of it being true. If anything, amused curiosity with skepticism. “Mislead people for your own gain”. Ridiculous. The only person who gains anything peddling something is you, so save it. Your post is slander and I’ll not sit here and allow my name to be slandered, especially not by someone who works for PCGS.
So you watch "the big bang " tv show ? Wonder if @MeowtheKitty knows about Schrodinger's cat ? looks to be a coin toss....50/50 chance....depending on a 3rd variable..... time..... as I'm relatively sure after a month the cat would be !
Nothing gets the discussion (and the emotions!) going so fast in a U.S Coin Forum as a good old discussion on the relative merits, or lack thereof, of the TPG's .
I seem to remember someone posting this exact same situation on here a few weeks ago. I’ll see if I can find the thread.
This is the concerning area on the obverse. I see some similarities in marks, but the flash and highlighted areas don't allow me to make an accurate determination of the obverse. Which is why the supervisor at PCGS wanted to see it in hand, according to the owner's story.
Two sets of pics - How many would say those are different coins ? If you do, you'd be wrong. Here's the thing - pictures lie ! And not because they've been manipulated or photo-shopped, but because all you have to do to get an entirely different look is slightly, stress slightly, change the lighting angle and or camera angle.
Now how does one prove this was not a bait-and-switch on part of the sender? There is no way to prove that the raw coin pictured is the one sent in.
