After some long experimentation, I was finally able to capture the TRUE color of a Lincoln. Circ grades have been no problem, but I have been unable to list or post any color coins accuratly. This is high tech stuff......a milk jug and a desk lamp !!! Not the greatest coin in my set of course, just the one I was experimenting on, and I THINK I have it down. Too tired now, but I'll get to it again tommorow with some NICE coins.... take a peek:
Great pictures. :thumb: Personally, I think the US Cent is one of the most difficult coins to accurately capture the iridescent beauty of. Apparently, you did it... Take Care Buddy Ben
Nice pics! Just for curiosity, what lamp did you use? (i.e., natural light, standard incandescent, or other)
Nice coins and pics Jack! I am thinking about buying one of those circular Magnifying Lamps that people use for soldering Electronics stuff and convert it into a Photo Stand for my Camera. By removing the magnifying glass from the center, I can make a mount to hold the Camera in place and the circular fluorescent bulb should provide ample lighting for taking pictures of coins. Frank
Beautiful pics. What camera and lens are you using? I've tried the milk jug and desk lamp, but the color is still too yellow, even with compact fluorescent bulbs.
